Today we had a little side task for today. We pullled a stick out of a cuntanor to see what we would do and it said Wellington so we chose to write ten fun facts about Wellington here is my work

1. The famouse beehive may have been designed on the back of a napkin as a joke

2. Wellington was voted the 13th best city in the world 

3. Wellington was the first place in new zealend to allow woman to vote

4. there are over 400 restaronts and cafes in wellinton which on a per person bias beats new york

5. people in Wellington are known as one of the fittest people in new zealend due to there steep roads

6. Wellinton is located at the south western tip of the north island between Cook Strait and the Remutaka Range

7. in Wellington in 2021 the population was at 417,000

8. The maori name for Wellington is Te Whanganui-a-Tare

9. famous people that live in Wellington include Russell Crowe,Karl Urban,Bret McKenzie,Katherine Mansfield,Nancy wake and many more

10. the beehive is located in Wellington and is on Pipitea, Wellington 6011

(I hope that the translasiont was correct if not im sorry) Today we countined to learn about Matariki although araund most of the world it is called Pleiades. Matariki is the celebration of maori new year for all new zealanders but it is found all around the world but called diffrent things and celabrates diffrent things but in new zealed it called Matariki and celabrates people,culture,language,spirituality and history. We had to find three facts about Matariki and then write them down here is my work.

The nine visible stars include: Matariki, Tupuārangi, Waipuna-ā-Rangi, Waitī, Tupuānuku, Ururangi, Waitā, Pōhutukawa and Hiwa-i-te-Rangi. Each star holds a certain significance over our wellbeing and environment, as seen from the Māori view of the world

Did you know in Japan, Matariki is called “Subaru” (coming together or cluster) and the car manufacturer's logo involves six stars to represent 5 companies merging into one.

Compared with other star clusters, Matariki is close to Earth – but it’s still 440 light years away. If you drove there in a car at a speed of 100 kilometres an hour, you would arrive in 4.8 billion years!

Today we were doing a starter task to get us warmed up for today. First we read a poam then we had to awnser two quistions. The poam is called the bully what happens is a bully and he is mean to everyone and he ends up having no friends.

we had to answer quistions about the story the quistons are  what does the poam make you think about the bully,if you saw this bully what might you do.

And here is my answer.

what does the poam make you think about the bully-the story makes you think hes mean and has a short temper.

if you saw this bully what might you do-I would back away and not talk to him.

after we did this we the warm up task we then had to do the main work were we had to write the deffiniton of five words here is my work.

assertive-you state firmly with authority

passive-not active and not resisting or fighting against something

aggressive-to fight back and likcly to atack people

boundaries-the limits we set for what we will accept 

conflict-to fight struggle or disagree

Kintsugi.

 Hello welcome back to my blog.

Today we are learning more about our mental health today the exsample of this is Kintsugi. Kinstugi is the practice where when something breaks you mix gold into clear glue to show it is broken and it is seen as beutifal. This practice is from japan wich started in the fifteenth centrury. The word Kintsugi is made from two other japanese words kin meaning gold and tsugi meaning fixing. 

The work we had to do was showing that anything can be fixed from mental to physical here is my work.
